Ubisoft launches its first original NFT game
Ubisoft launched Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles, its first free NFT game for PC, available on Ubisoft Connect. In this turn-based strategy game, players select teams of fantasy-themed digital characters to compete online. Ubisoft also previously released 75,000 free champions as NFTs on the Oasys network, some of which are available on secondary markets.

North Korean hacking group Lazarus promoted a game on social media to exploit a new Chrome vulnerability in a highly sophisticated attack. According to a Russian cybersecurity company, the group created a fake version of a real online game, based on NFT, to steal Cryptocurrency and user data, exploiting previously unknown vulnerabilities in the Google Chrome web browser.
Specifically, the hackers’ multiplayer game was fully playable and had been promoted on LinkedIn and X. The game was called DeTankZone or DeTankWar and used NFTs as tanks in a global competition.
Very importantly, Kaspersky Labs analysts noticed the exploit in May and reported it to Google, which has since fixed the issue.
