End of state control? At the headquarters of the Meta company in Argentina, within the framework of Meta Day, the president of Argentina, Javier Milei, proposes a free future for cryptocurrencies.
«It is a pride for me to be able to address an audience that stays awake thinking about tomorrow. I wish you many successes.”

Indeed, Meta Day took place at the Palacio Libertad Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, and its objective is to promote the digitalization of Argentine small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).
Now, prior to his speech, the president received a message from Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta: «Hello Argentina and President Milei. Thank you for joining us today. We are excited to be able to bring Llama 3 to more people in Argentina. By making this technology open source, we are removing barriers so that a broader community of developers and organizations can access the power of artificial intelligence, build innovative solutions and promote progress.”
By the way, Milei assured that Argentina is facing a “hinge moment” by laying the foundations for growth “to be lasting,” and stated that it is “getting out of the septic tank in which they sunk us.”
Likewise, he stated that “changing the paradigm implies stopping thinking in a week and starting to think in 5 or 10, 20 or 40 years”, and abandoning the intentions of emigrating due to the “Draculine State” to project in the country.
On the other hand, facing representatives of SMEs and entrepreneurs, Milei stated that technology is the greatest example of the capabilities of human beings, and that technological innovation makes it possible to solve problems.
Crypto revolution: Milei wants to untie cryptocurrencies from the state yoke
Towards the end of his speech at Meta Day, he supported the use of cryptocurrencies and asked those present not to allow States to take charge of the digital medium.
Specifically, he expressed: «Do not let the States take charge and carry out cryptocurrencies, the States, let them remain in the private sector. “They already appropriated the paper money and defrauded us with the central banks.”
“Another historical monopoly that technology is breaking is currency.

Furthermore, he stressed: «Go for cryptocurrencies, but do not allow the State to put its hand there, because from there they are going to turn us into slaves. “Be very careful with that issue.”
To conclude, Javier Milei said: «We don’t know what the future will be like, the only thing we know is that it will be much better. Have no doubt that if we embrace the ideas of freedom, that future will be much better.
I close with this quote from Warren Buffett: “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is today.”
