Huang will open the event on January 6 at 6:30 pm, followed by a question session for financial analysts on January 7. This event could mark a turning point for the company, with expectations of higher sales of its flagship product, Blackwell chips, designed for next-generation artificial intelligence (AI).

Citi anticipates that Nvidia will raise its Blackwell sales expectations as it scales production to meet growing demand. Additionally, the company is expected to highlight growth in AI applications in industrial robotics, logistics and manufacturing, including humanoid robots. Companies like Tesla, Figure.AI, and Boston Dynamics already integrate Nvidia chips into their advanced devices.
Profit margin and future prospects
Citi analysts also predict that Nvidia’s profit margins could hit their lowest point in the April 2025 quarter, with a recovery on the horizon thanks to growing demand. This optimism is supported by recent achievements at events such as the annual GTC 2024 conference, where Nvidia unveiled humanoid robots powered in part by its high-performance chips.
