The founder of Cardano, Charles Hoskinson, states that this blockchain will become a multi-chain network. In that sense, it will be able to interact with other important blockchains such as Ethereum and Solana. In his opinion, this will be achieved through the Midnight update. The controversial businessman ratified his invitation to developers from around the world to work on this initiative.
Currently, this sidechain called Midnight is on the testnet. The Cardano team released this update on the testnet last October. Thus, developers from all over the world have the possibility of participating in the evolution of this new structure.
According to Hoskinson, the integration of this update into the mainnet will allow Cardano to experience a qualitative leap. In a post on his X account, he expressed that it is a matter of time before Cardano integrates with other blockchain networks.
It is worth mentioning that Midnight takes advantage of zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs. With this, it guarantees effective protection of user data.
Consequently, any investor or user of dApps can operate without any risk to their private data. According to Hoskinson, this would be the starting point for Cardano to take off as a network of multiple interaction with other blockchains.
We have a multichain ecosystem through midnight. It will connect to ethereum, solana, avalanche, xrp, and many others.
All we would gain is diluting liquidity as BOS ditches us for the chain of the week during integration

Hoskinson does not shy away from controversy in his defense of Cardano
As expected, this new episode highlighting the development of Cardano did not escape controversy. Charles Hoskinson is one of the most controversial figures in the crypto world and his defense of Cardano is significantly intense. So much so, that his comments tend to be offensive to other projects in the world of cryptocurrencies.
In this way, his personality makes him one of the individuals who attracts the most haters and controversy. On this occasion, he reaffirmed that Cardano has a new alliance in its mission to create smart contracts on the Bitcoin network in 2025. Thus, Input Output Global (IOG) will ally with Fairgate Labs, in a position previously held by BitcoinOS.
In response to questions from users about this change, Hoskinson assured that the second is lagging behind in terms of development. In his opinion, Fairgate has technological developments, which BitcoinOS is just exploring. Likewise, he highlighted BitcoinOS does not intend to launch its own token, which has generated controversy with BitcoinOS and Cardano.
BitcoinOS CEO Edan Yoga was quick to respond to these controversial comments from Hoskinson about the reasons for the new Cardano alliance. He stressed that his firm has no intention of abandoning Cardano, as Hoskinson implied. On the contrary, he stated that it is Hoskinson himself who wants them away from Cardano.
Hoskinson then asked him to confirm his claims and launch his token. As you can see, Hoskinson does not hold back his differences even with his own allies.
