Main Off the Grid moves: After entering early access in October, Avalanche-based battle royale shooter Off the Grid has lost a bit of its hype. But on Wednesday, the game received its biggest update yet, reworking its aiming system, adding a notable performance boost, and tweaking weapon performance.
This update, according to the patch notes, is preparing for the addition of a ranked mode to the game. The most notable update was the improvement to the scoped weapons, they now have a much more natural feel than in previous versions. Additionally, the meta underwent a big change with weapons receiving major buffs and nerfs.
And then on Friday, developer Gunzilla Games exclusively revealed to Decrypt’s GG that it will be launching a GUNZ Foundation under the advice of Delphi Ventures. The Foundation will oversee the launch of the GUNZ L1 network on mainnet, as well as the upcoming GUN token, which is planned for launch in the first quarter of 2025.

TapSwap and Tomarket: The creators of the Telegram game TapSwap announced last week that the long-awaited TAPS token launch and airdrop will take place at the end of January, after months of speculation. The token will be launched on The Open Network (TON).
Last week, Tomarket developers made a late switch from the TON Blockchain to the Aptos blockchain, just a week before the planned launch.
This move sets the stage for the long-awaited launch of the TOMA token, which has been the main motivator in attracting 50 million users to the game. Players have been progressing through the game in hopes of receiving a generous TOMA airdrop, and the release is now scheduled for December 20.
Ubisoft release and mint: Video game giant Ubisoft confirmed that its upcoming game Captain Laserhawk: The GAME will launch this December 18 via the Ethereum Arbitrum layer-2 network. To celebrate, it launched a free NFT mint tied to the game, giving away a total of 10,000 NIJI Warrior ID Cards.
Set in a dystopian world inspired by the Netflix animated series “Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix”—which is based in part on a game in the Far Cry game franchise—the competitive, multiplayer top-down shooter will feature characters from the hit Assassin’s Creed, Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil series.
