According to controversial Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson, Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen’s political stance is meaningless. Several days ago, it was learned that Larsen actively supports the campaign of the Democratic Party candidate, Kamala Harris. The businessman would have sent several million dollars to Harris’ campaign team.
The confirmation of this news left many in the crypto world confused. Since 2020, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has kept him in court with a lawsuit that has caused him losses of tens of millions.
Ripple’s advancement as a global payments system was practically halted by the SEC’s missteps. The composition of this federal agency was practically organized by the Democratic Party after the appointment of Gary Gensler as its president.
This is just one of the reasons why Hoskinson believes that support from Ripple co-founder Larsen is pointless. During his statements on the social network X, the businessman delved into other reasons why Harris should not be supported.

Hoskinson’s words came in response to former candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s profound criticism of Democrats. Kennedy accused Kamala of dividing society and encouraging the killing of Americans by the military. By this he refers to the controversial directive 5240.01 of the Department of Defense.
According to Kennedy, DoD 5240.01 “gives the Pentagon the power, for the first time in history, to use lethal force against American citizens inside the United States for protesting against the government.” Hoskinson joined Kennedy in criticizing him, sarcastically writing, “There is nothing like telling our military that the American people fall into the domestic threat category.”
In a comment to this post, a follower reminds Ripple co-founder Larsen of donations to Kamala Harris. Hoskinson then responds, “Yes, we will all remember this.”
