Decrypt and HashKey Capital joined leading Asia-Pacific media platforms at Thailand Blockchain Week to formally launch Layer East Media, a strategic alliance that “represents a key step in uniting East and West for Web3.”
Eight of the alliance’s founding members—Decrypt, HashKey Capital, Coinpost, Bitcoin Addict (Cryptomind Group), Coin68, PANews, Odaily, and Coinvestasi—signed an MOU agreeing to a “unified approach to responsible reporting, collaboration, and innovation.” within the blockchain space.” The rest of the Layer East Media members include Crypto Times, Tokenpost, CoinNess, Foresight News, Blockbeats, Techflow, Chaincatcher, Blocktempo, and Wu Blockchain.
“Layer East Media is building a new frontier for crypto media in Asia,” said Ilan Hazan, Co-Founder of Decrypt. The alliance will focus on helping Web3 projects in the West navigate and grow their businesses in the Asia-Pacific region, providing Western and regional projects with trusted media channels and information tailored to the diverse Asian markets.
Built on the founding principles of increasing transparency, empowering innovators and investors, and fostering communication across the APAC region, Layer East Media aims to serve as the “go-to center and information point” for Web3 media , innovative Web3 brands, investors and policy makers in this diverse market.
“By bringing together regional expertise and trusted voices, we are creating a media ecosystem that supports innovation, amplifies diverse perspectives and connects global communities,” said Hazan. “This vision has been fundamental to Decrypt from the beginning and we are dedicated to building the frameworks that make it possible.”
