DeFi Technologies, a pioneer in investments in the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector, announced the upcoming launch of its investment vehicle CoreFi Strategy.
Scheduled to debut in the first quarter of 2025 on a Canadian stock exchange, CoreFi Strategy will allow investors to gain exposure to Bitcoin and its growing DeFi ecosystem. This new fund seeks to replicate successful investment strategies from companies such as MicroStrategy and MetaPlanet, with a focus on the accumulation of Bitcoin (BTC) and CORE, the native asset of the Core Blockchain.
CoreFi’s primary goal is to offer regulated access to Bitcoin staking and yield generation opportunities, increasing your treasury through innovative financing strategies.
According to Olivier Roussy Newton, CEO of DeFi Technologies, this strategy will allow investors to interact with the emerging Bitcoin staking ecosystem, boosting the benefits derived from the growing value and popularity of these assets.
Successful strategies and growth projections
Inspired by business models that have proven to be highly profitable, CoreFi Strategy seeks to replicate the success of firms such as MicroStrategy, whose share price has grown more than 500% in the last year, while Bitcoin has increased approximately 150% in the same period.
Core, for its part, maintains more than 8,200 BTC in stake and has a total value locked (TVL) of more than $700 million. Its recent Dual Staking integration allows CORE token holders to earn higher returns by staking Bitcoin, increasing return opportunities for CoreFi investors.
DeFi Technologies, which operates under the ticker DEFI:NE in Canada and is also listed over-the-counter in the United States, reported assets under management (AUM) of C$837 million (US$597.65 million) as of the end of July 2024.
Benchmark analysts, such as Mark Palmer, predict continued growth in the firm’s AUM, driven by new ETP product launches and the increase in prices of the underlying cryptoassets.
