What is MYRIAD?
MYRIAD is an innovative platform that merges prediction markets with editorial and audiovisual content from Decrypt and Rug Radio. Its goal is to revolutionize interaction with readers, create new revenue models for content creators and strengthen trust in digital media.
First Steps in MYRIAD
Creating an account
Head to myriad.markets.
Click on “Download MYRIAD extension”.
You will be redirected to the Chrome Web Store, where you can click “Add to Chrome” to download the MYRIAD extension.
Click on the MYRIAD extension and then “Login” to create an account or log in. You can choose whether you want to register or log in using social networks or email.
Check your email for the verification link, then click to set up your profile.

Exploring MYRIAD
Once you have registered with MYRIAD, head to myriad.markets to see the main hub of MYRIAD activities. At the top of the page you will see several options:
- Markets: Your hub for active markets and activity.
- Earn: Participate in MYRIAD Missions to earn points.
- Leaderboard: See how you compare to others.
- News: Check out the latest stories and related prediction markets.
- Portfolio: Follow your points and active predictions.

What are MYRIAD prediction markets?
MYRIAD’s on-chain prediction markets are the heart of the platform, allowing users to back their predictions on real-world events with Points. Those events can range from sports and cryptocurrencies to gaming and politics.
As more people participate in the prediction market, the probabilities change in real time, indicating which outcome the community believes is most likely to occur.
MYRIAD prediction markets are made up of “shares” with values ranging from 0 to 1 point, their value being correlated with the percentage probability of winning. Therefore, if a stock for outcome A in a prediction market has a value of 0.53 points, the market considers outcome A to have a 53% chance of occurring.
When the market resolves, the price rises to 1 point per share for whatever the outcome; Therefore, the lower the odds of something happening, the cheaper it will be to bet on it, and vice versa.
How to participate in MYRIAD prediction markets?
To participate in MYRIAD prediction markets, you will first need to have installed the MYRIAD Chrome extension, which you can download at myriad.markets.
Relevant MYRIAD prediction markets appear embedded alongside Decrypt and Rug Radio content. You can also view Featured Predictions within the Chrome extension.

To view all MYRIAD prediction markets, click “Visit Dashboard” within the extension and then click “Markets.”

Regardless of how you’re viewing a prediction market, participating is simple: simply click on the button below the market corresponding to the outcome you think is most likely to occur, and type in the number of points you want to bet. There are buttons to bet 5%, 10% or 100% of your available points. Once you have selected how many points you want to bet, click the button below the market to bet them.

You can also click on the title of any market to be taken to its page, which displays a graph indicating how betting intentions have changed over time, along with the rules for resolving the market.

If an event is cancelled, you will get your points back, or MYRIAD will resolve it based on the official information available.
What are MYRIAD points?
Points are your pass to access everything at MYRIAD. You can bet on prediction markets, participate in community contests, and climb the leaderboards against other players.
MYRIAD Points can be earned by participating in different activities across the ecosystem, such as connecting your social media accounts, reading stories on Decrypt, and watching Rug Radio videos.
You can also earn points by completing MYRIAD Missions, which set a series of linked tasks such as reading a Decrypt story and then completing a quiz based on it, with points awarded for completing each task.

You will initially receive 100 points for installing the MYRIAD browser extension, so you can get started with MYRIAD prediction markets right away.

Points are a currency within the platform and have no real monetary value, but are essential to participate in prediction markets and measure your success on the MYRIAD platform.
