Popular Solana-based DEX aggregator Jupiter listens to its community: Airdrop proposal comes under review after a governance proposal failed to reach a 70% supermajority, which would have led to millions of dollars in tokens being distributed JUP to the users of its platforms in multiple waves.
In fact, recently the proposal written by Jupiter’s pseudonymous co-founder Meow was put up for voting, allowing token holders to determine whether Jupiter would launch up to $1.6 billion in JUP in two separate Airdrops.

The proposal attracted significant interest, with over 364 million JUP tokens up for voting. However, it only received 58% of the votes in favor of disbursing the tokens to users. As a consequence, Meow announced that a second vote would be organized: “Because we are seeking a 70% supermajority, we will proceed with a second vote.” Particularly, the next vote will be held on December 2 or 3.
