This Friday, Blockchain Connect Latam was held, an online activity in which industry leaders from the Latin American subcontinent and Spain participated. The experts shared experiences on construction related to blockchain technology in different countries.
This striking activity, organized by the Argentine Blockchain Foundation, serves to evaluate the state of the sector in Latin America. In this sense, numerous projects presented their developments during the activity. Some of these initiatives are recognized, while others took advantage of the stage to present themselves to their colleagues in the region.
In this way, the participation of associations of all types stood out, ranging from event organizers to legal firms. As already mentioned, some of these groups are in constitution, which means that they have not yet fully developed their potential. Among the most notable participants is Paula Pascual, organizer of the MERGE event in Spain.
Another of the participants who could not fail to be named is Lucho Torres, from Cultura C3. He highlighted that education “is the spearhead to enable more people to understand the ecosystem in a simpler way and without so much friction.” He added that 2025 comes with big changes from C3.
Latin America shows its potential in Blockchain Connect
Another of the Blockchain Connect Latam participants who attracted attention was Karla Córdoba from Aso Blockchain Costa Rica. The expert highlighted the potential for growth in the Costa Rican country. Thus, although there is now a small crypto community, the interest from the private sector is enormous.
Likewise, he emphasized that the country has enormous potential for future growth thanks to its economic and political stability. Unfortunately, he expressed that the authorities are slow in the matter of regulating the Cryptocurrency sector. He added that his organization is working rapidly to promote the crypto law in the country.
For her part, Paula Pascual from MERGE reported that the event, which is usually held in Madrid, will be held next year in Argentina. Eric Ortiz, from the Blockchain Association of Peru (ABPE) also presented his project and highlighted the advances that are taking place in that nation.
Meanwhile, Alejandro Celis, from Aso Blockchain Colombia, also highlighted the developments in this technology in the Caribbean country. He highlighted the importance of education in a context in which Colombia is the second country with the most scams by crypto pyramids in the region.
Francisco Carvalho, founder of Blockchain RIO (Brazil) was another of the protagonists of Blockchain Connect and who highlighted the evolution of the sector in the largest economy in the region. Companies, government and universities are part of the alliance that leads this organization and Carvalho highlights the importance of continuing with expansion efforts.
