During the 12th edition of LABITCONF, the leading conference on Bitcoin and blockchain in Latin America, the NGO Bitcoin Argentina presented the “Bitcoin Manifest”, a proposal that seeks to reflect and reinforce the fundamental values that give life to this Cryptocurrency.
Bitcoin and its principles behind $100K
“Bitcoin reaches 100k, but they are the pillars behind Bitcoin that bring it to this place and that make it a revolutionary technology,” commented enthusiastically Rodolfo Andragnes, founder of the NGO Bitcoin Argentina. This milestone goes far beyond numbers. It is a reminder of the values that Bitcoin represents, such as financial freedom, decentralization, privacy, and the empowerment of people.
The “Bitcoin Manifest”, developed with the technological support of WakeUp Labs, materializes these ideals in a digital application where its users can affirm their commitment to the basic principles of Bitcoin. This manifesto advocates a vision of a free financial system, without intermediaries, that respects the rights and sovereignty of each person.
The 17 values of Bitcoin
The manifesto is based on 17 core values that include key principles such as strong money, decentralization, self-custody and the right to privacy. According to Andragnes, the main objective of this project is “drive the commitment to empower through distributed ownership, promoting financial inclusion and ensuring equal access to the opportunities that Bitcoin offers”.
The manifesto is available on the bitcoinmanifest.org platform and allows users to digitally sign it by logging in with their X or Nostr accounts. With this initiative, the NGO Bitcoin Argentina takes a step further in its mission to unite the global Bitcoin community under the same cause.
Digital and global, the evolution of a “human B”
The launch of this manifesto continues the legacy of previous initiatives by the NGO, such as the iconic “human B” made in 2023. On that occasion, more than 500 people gathered to form a gigantic 40-meter-high Bitcoin letter B, symbolizing your support for this financial revolution. Now, with the “Bitcoin Manifest”, this symbolic action is expanded to the digital world, allowing anyone, anywhere, to be part of this movement.
